Posturology

Analyzing your posture in conjunction with that of your horse. Then finding ways to put them together to work in harmony. A balanced posture can relieve pressure on nerves, ease joint pain, prevent stress on ligaments and tendons and support bodily systems. Shoes and hooves wear more evenly. Is it confirmation or compensation that affects your horse’s posture? Or yours? Are you affecting his or he yours? Michele teams with human Massage Therapist Laura Bolton to bring you this unique perspective.

  1. Assessing the continuity of muscles and how this continuity or lack of can have a profound effect on spine and posture. Further assessment of what is right or causing interference including teeth, hooves, saddle, environmental, etc.
  2. Understanding proprioceptors, the information they give your horse and how that information can help you further understand him.
  3. Specific exercises to help strengthen various groups of muscles to help your horse sustain a comfortable and strong posture along with exercises geared to your posture.
  4. Understanding the good and bad of muscle mass and how correct and incorrect building can affect your horse’s center of gravity, movement and balance. We will also explore yours.

This seminar will enable you to be more in tune and in sync with your horse’s body as well as your own…on the ground and in the saddle.
